This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. We collect only what we need to provide safe, reliable rides — and we never sell your personal data.
1. Information we collect
Account details (name, email, phone), payment information (processed by our payment provider — we do not store full card numbers), trip details (pickup/destination, route, fare), and device/location data during a trip.
For drivers: license, insurance, vehicle, and tax (W-9) information required to operate legally, plus background-check results from our screening provider.
2. How we use it
To match riders and drivers, process payments, provide support, ensure safety, prevent fraud, meet legal and tax obligations, and improve the service.
3. Location
Rider location is used only while you are using the app (to set pickup and track the trip). Driver location is shared while online to enable dispatch and live trip tracking.
4. Sharing
We share limited data with: the matched driver/rider (name, pickup, live location during a trip), payment and background-check providers, and authorities when legally required. We do not sell personal data.
5. Retention
Trip, driver, and document records are retained as required by law (including multi-year retention for regulatory and audit purposes) and then securely deleted.
6. Your choices
You may access or request deletion of your data, manage notifications, and remove payment methods in the app. Contact support@triplyride.com for privacy requests.
7. Security
Sensitive data such as tax identifiers is encrypted at rest. Access is restricted to authorized personnel and audited.
